Q. Why should I buy from Main Avenue Galleria?
A. Main Avenue Galleria displays the work of local artists who are passionate about their craft. Each piece is inspired by the personal experiences and chosen medium(a) of the artist and is therefore, completely unique. Your purchases support the livelihood of our artists, with 80% if each sale going directly to them. By shopping at Main Avenue Galleria or www.mainavegalleria.com you also support the good causes our artists contribute to. Many give back to the needy in the community through a variety of volunteer and fundraising efforts, When you support Main Avenue Galleria, online or in our store, you support caring and creative individuals empoworing their community.

Q. How does your site differ from other sites that sell art?
A. The art works displayed on our site are the works of our artists. Our artists work in a variety of media giving you a truly unique work of art.

Q. I'm interested in a piece that is marked sold. Is there a chance for an item to be replicated?
A. If you are interested in an original piece that has been sold, prints may be available. If you are interested in owning an original please let us know. Some of our artists are willing to recreate an original work. Of course, it will not be exactly the same as the first effort. No two originals are ever exactly alike.

Q. I'd like to purchase a large quantity of a certain item. Is that possible?
A. It depends on the item. Please contact me so that we can discuss the item. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Q. How often does your web selection change?
A. We are frequently updating and increasing the number of unique artworks available on our website. As of our launch, December 2005, the website offers a sample of our unique collection, but does not reflect its extent or the array of artists contributing to The Main Avenue Galleria Store and Gallery located in Ocean Grove, NJ. Therefore, if you are in the Jersey Shore area, we encourage you to VISIT and enjoy the full Galleria experience. We will do our utmost to ensure that in future months our website reflects The Galleria in its entirety, so please bookmark our site and check back often!

Q. I'm purchasing an item as a gift. Can I have it shipped directly to the recipient?
A. Yes. In the checkout window, check the box "gift - ship to third party" and enter in the recipients address accordingly. All transaction information will be sent to your, (the payee's), designated address.

Q. Is it possible to have my order shipped immediately – rush delivery?
A. If time is of the essence, please call and place your order over the phone. Or, if you've already placed your order, call with your order number and we will discuss shipping options. We cannot guarantee rush delivery, but will try our best to accommodate your needs.

Q. What is your shipping method?
A. Each artist isresponsible for the shipping and handling of items sold on-line and often ship from his or her own studio location. Therefore, a separate shipping and handling fee is accrued per item. Once your order is processed, you will be sent a confirmation email with your unique order number, purchase information and the anticipated shipping and delivery dates. Your order will be shipped via United States Postal Service, UPS, FEDEX, (or other reliable carrier) within 7-10 business days. The artist will always obtain a confirmation of delivery receipt to ensure tracking ability and order fulfillment. The artist will insure the package where deemed appropriately fragile and/or valuable, at his or her own discretion.

Q. How can I reduce my shipping & handling fees if I'm buying multiple items?
A. Each artist is responsible for the shipment of their work sold online and therefore a separate shipping & handling fee accrues for each piece purchased. However, if you are purchasing multiple quantities of an item from one particular artist and that artist has a "Shipping & Handling Waiver" in regards to that item, shipping and handling fees will be automatically consolidated and reduced accordingly during checkout. If the artist does not have a "Shipping & Handling Waiver" due to the inherent cost and effort associated with the packaging of each item, fees will not be reduced. In either case, you are able to view the breakdown of costs at all times and view the artists' "Shipping and Handling Waiver" by clicking on the link of the same name present in your shopping cart and checkout pages.

Q. What is your return policy?
A. If within 14 days of order delivery, you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return item(s) for a refund of the purchase price. Shipping and handling to and fro will not be reimbursed. Please contact the store via phone (732) 988.1002 or e-mail: info@mainavegalleria.com to inform us of intended return. Package your item(s) in the original packaging and include your confirmation e-mail with the order number listed. Once your package has been received and items are deemed in good condition, your credit card will be reimbursed accordingly.

If the time since order delivery has exceeded 14 days, but remains within or at 30 days, item(s) may be returned for an exchange equal to the purchase price of item(s). Shipping and handling to and fro will not be credited towards an exchange. Please contact the store via phone: (732) 988.1002 or e-mail: info@mainavegalleria.com to inform us of intended exchange and item(s) desired. Package your item(s) to be exchanged in the original packaging and include your confirmation e-mail with the order number listed. Once your package has been received and items are deemed in good condition, your new order will be processed and delivered.


Artists

Q. How do you select your artists?
A. We get inquiries from artists everyday. When an artistapproaches us to show their work in our gallery, I look for unique style, volume of work, professional quality, theme of work, and the artist's connection to the area. The Galleria avoids representing competing artists. While we may have more than one artist creating in oils for example, their themes and styles are dramatically different. This policy gives the artist the opportunity to fully express their art without worrying about competing within The Galleria.

Q. How do I become part of The Galleria?
A.If you are interested in joining The Galleria, contact the owner by sending an email to info@mainavegalleria.com. Be sure to describe your work and include images of available art. I will respond to you within five business days.

Q. Are you looking for artists right now?
A. Yes, we are currently seeking a glass blower, and unique crafts for the store and our website.
We are also looking for artists to participate on our website only.

Q. How do you promote your artists and their work?
A. We host receptions, participate in collaborative events with local businesses, run print ads and market our website. As an artist you have the opportunity to participate in The Galleria's website which provides you with an online gallery where you can include as many works as you choose, sell your work and readily update as needed. We also have a "Featured Artist of The Month" program. Artists have the opportunity to reserve the large storefront window for a thirty-day period and set up an exclusive display of their work. The "featured" artist will also be highlighted on The Galleria's website. We also host special "friends and family" shopping events that include a cocktail reception, art demonstration, and special one-night-only discounts. The Main Avenue Galleria is also an active member of the Ocean Grove Chamber of Commerce. You can link to our site from the chambers web site, as well as from the individual artists web sites. The owner also conducts guided tours through The Galleria for groups or individuals that gives more insight into each artist, their passion, and their work.
