Jo Guscott lives in Pine Beach and her art mediums are oil paintings and linocut reduction prints.  She is a member of the Toms River Artist Community, the Ocean County Artists Guild, the Monmouth Arts, and the Audubon Artists in NYC.  She shows her work regularly at the local galleries, in addition to Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea at the Ocean County Mall, and the Garden State Distillery in Toms River.

Jo is not formally trained in art and came to her artistic journey after a 34 year career as a special education teacher.  After retiring she joined different art organizations, took classes in person and online, and met artists who have mentored and encouraged her pursuits.

Jo’s art reflects her love of shore living.  She spent her summers as a youth exploring the undeveloped areas of Point Pleasant and the fishing docks at the Manasquan inlet.
