Exploring Acrylics Saturdays

Join professional artist and instructor, Norma Tolliver,  in painting dynamic ocean scenes including surf, foam, splash and jetty rocks.  This beginner acrylic course is designed to inspire creativity as well as develop color blending and brushwork skills.

This is a seven week acrylic painting course designed for students who have completed drawing fundamentals and/or advanced drawing skills courses.  The skills learned during drawing class will be applied to acrylic painting.  No prior painting experience is required.

Students will create a painting of their own choosing during this 7 week course.  In addition, each session will begin with a brief “follow along” tutorial that demonstrates the use of color, blending, and brush work to paint realistic clouds, ocean, light, and skin tones.

Students should print out a picture that they want to paint.  It cannot be a picture of a painting.
