Crochet for a Cause

Join artist instructor Norma Tolliver for this very special fundraiser for Shaken Baby Syndrome.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is asking for volunteers to knit 5,000 purple baby hats by October 1st.  The purpose of the hats is to raise awareness with new parents about Shaken Baby Syndrome.  Educational materials as well as the hats will be given to new parents in the months of November and December.  I’d like to contribute to this cause by offering a two part workshop September 10 and 17th.

Participants will learn how to crochet a simple baby hat and read basic crochet instructions.  Cost is $25 per person and the donation of at least one hat you crochet during the workshop.  Participants will also need to purchase a skein of purple acrylic sport weight yarn and the appropriate crochet hook indicated on your yarn packaging.

Class Session & Students

This workshop runs for 2 weeks: Sept. 10 – 17, 2017.   Walk-ins are always welcome!

This class is open to students age 12 to adult and is limited to 20 students.

Workshop Fee: $25, excluding materials. Walk-in fee: $25, excluding materials. All participants must provide a skein of purple acrylic sport weight yarn and the appropriate crochet hook indicated on your yarn packaging.
