Drawing & Painting Realistic Flowers
8 Week Course – Tuesdays, June 16th – August 4th, 2020
This course presented by artist/instructor, Norma Tolliver, will provide step by step instruction on how to draw realistic flowers first on paper with pencil and then on canvas with charcoal. Each week we will draw and paint a different flower. The flowers included in this course are daffodils, lilies, roses, sunflowers, lilacs and hydrangea. In the final two sessions, we will paint a bouquet featuring all of the flowers we studied.
We will paint our flowers using acrylic paints on stretched canvas or canvas panels. At the end of the series you will have seven completed paintings. Our flowers will be drawn and painted in a high level of detail. Light source, shading and shadow will be part of each drawing and painting.
