Exploring Acrylics — Intermediate/Advanced

7 Week Workshop — Sundays, April 28th – June 9th, 2019  –  Walk-ins Welcome!

Join artist instructor Norma Tolliver and learn the art of acrylic painting.  Exploring Acrylics is an intermediate to advanced acrylic painting class.  Prior drawing and painting experience is required.
Each 7 week session focuses on a different technique to increase the student’s use of acrylic paints in creating art.  Some of the techniques are painting realistic seascapes in both brush and palette knife, reflections, fire and ice, night scenes in alizarin crimson, portraiture, light through trees, metal, fabric and fur, and so much more.
Guidance is provided for color choice, color mixing, brush choice and use.  Students participating in this course are comfortable working independently and are working towards improving their skills.  Constructive criticism is provided before and after each painting session.
This 7 week session will focus on painting streetscapes.
