Exploring Acrylics — Intermediate/Advanced Techniques

7 Week Workshop — Thursdays, December 1st – January 12th — Walk-ins Welcome!

Join artist instructor Norma Tolliver and learn the art of acrylic painting.   This is an intermediate/advanced acrylic painting class designed to inspire creativity as well as develop color blending and brushwork skills.  During the warmer months, May – October,  we paint en plein air.  During inclement weather and cooler months we paint in the studio located in the Main Avenue Galleria.

Students interested in this course should have completed a drawing fundamentals course, as well as beginner painting class in acrylic paints. This course focuses on capturing the nuance of light, atmosphere, and form using acrylic paints. Guidance is provided for color choice, color mixing, brush choice and use. Students participating in this course are comfortable working independently and are working towards improving their skills. Constructive criticism is provided before and after each painting session.
