Exploring Acrylics Saturdays

7  Week Workshop — Saturdays, November 13th, 2021 – January 15th, 2022 –  Walk-ins Welcome!*

Join artist instructor Norma Tolliver as we explore the effects of precipitation on the atmosphere, environment and objects.  We will be painting falling snow, rain and frozen surfaces.  We will practice techniques for fog and steam, condensation and reflections.
Each 7 week session focuses on a different technique to increase the student’s use of acrylic paints in creating art.  Some of the techniques are painting realistic seascapes in both brush and palette knife, reflections, fire and ice, night scenes in alizarin crimson, portraiture, light through trees, metal, fabric and fur, and so much more.
Guidance is provided for color choice, color mixing, brush choice and use.  Students participating in this course are comfortable working independently and are working towards improving their skills.  Constructive criticism is provided before and after each painting session.
