Gelli Print Elephant Painting
1 Day Workshop
The elephant is one of the oldest and most revered of the animal symbols, amassing great knowledge, wisdom, strength and power. Connecting this meaning to personal attributes you possess or would like to develop, join mixed media artist, Kristen Marino, for this workshop that will focus on making a gelli print painting on a 16″ x 20″ stretched canvas. You will learn how to make unique, monochromatic gel prints on paper that will be cut and collaged onto the canvas. Using a variety of elephant stencils, you will learn how to layout and make a balanced composition, and use acrylic paint and glazing medium to bring your canvas to life. Finished paintings will be layered, colorful and lively, representing your own wisdom, strength and power.
