Mixed Media Soft Sculpture for Children
1 Day Workshop
“Softies” (plush/stuffed critters) have become very popular with people of all ages. In this class mixed media artist, Kristen Marino, will work with students to help them design their own little creatures by painting, sewing and stuffing their soft sculptures. We will start by painting fabric using acrylic paints, stencils, stamps and other mark making tools. Once the fabric is dry, we will trace and cut the “softie” pattern and hand stitch our creature together. Once stuffed, we will add eyes, a mouth, and other embellishments. We will be using acrylic paint, so please wear play clothes or bring an apron.
