Plein Air Painting with Norma & Gina

Have you ever wanted to experience painting outdoors?  The impressionists were famous for painting en plein air (French for outdoors).  This method of painting contrasts with studio painting or academic rules that might create a predetermined look.  Nothing compares to painting clouds, flowers, or the ocean while actually experiencing the energy, light, shadow, and colors first hand.

Join experienced artists and instructors, Norma Tolliver and Gina Cannone for a two and a half hour plein air painting experience beginning Thursday, June 11th.  The group will meet up at a predetermined spot each month at 5:30pm – 8:00pm.  Artists can be beginners or highly skilled professionals.  Artists can be as young as 8 – 14 years old and participate with an adult present.  Anyone 15 and up can join us and paint, draw, or sketch in the company of like-minded people.

Cost is $25 per session.  Your instructors will help you with composition, palette, brush choices and palette knife techniques.  Artists will bring their own art supplies.  A suggested list of supplies will be made available when you register.
