Sumi-e: The Art of Japanese Brush Painting
4 Week Course
Join artist, Nicoletta Siccone, for further exploration of traditional Japanese brush painting, known as sumi-e. The art of “black ink painting”, sumi-e can be traced back more than 2,000 years to ancient China, where Zen Buddhist monks captured the essence of nature through the focused concentration of peaceful meditation. Come express yourself using authentic materials from East Asia, as you learn the same brushstrokes practiced long ago.
Class Session & Students
Open to students 15 years to adult. Class size limited to 10 students.
