Sumi-e: The Art of Japanese Brush Painting

Join artist, Nicoletta Siccone, for an experience of Japanese brush painting known as sumi-e. The art of “black ink painting”,  sumi-e can be traced back more than 2,000 years to ancient China, where Zen Buddhist monks captured the essence of nature through the focused concentration of peaceful meditation.  Create your own ink painting using authentic materials from East Asia, as you learn the same brushstrokes practiced long ago.

Open to students 15 years to adult.  Class size limited to 12 students.

Course Fee: $45, includes all materials
