Sumi-e Watercolor Workshop

Join artist  Jan Robyn Becker  for a one day Sumi-e Watercolor workshop. This workshop is for beginner and intermediate artists.  The workshop art project will focus on Japanese and Chinese painting styles. Photographs and studies of bamboo, koi, chrysanthemums, birds, and mountains will be provided by the instructor. Learn this technique of using Sumi-e paints and brushes on rice paper to depict unique meditative/spiritual works of art. Exploration of these Eastern cultural styles of painting will enhance your paintings with precision and vibrance. Students will be using watercolor and sumi-e paints and brushes, rice paper and ink.  Your instructor will provide step-by-step instruction throughout the session and all students will leave with a one of a kind creation.

Open to students ages 18 to adult.  Class size limited to 8 students.

Workshop Fee: $65 per person, includes all materials.
